Manchester City is rumored to be preparing for an off-field battle. With fellow city rivals Manchester United to sign a contract to grab. Benfica’s future midfielder Cher Endur to join the team.
The 18-year-old Italian midfielder is one of the most watched players in Europe. And has received interest from the teams of Erik ten Hag, PSG, Juventus and AC Milan this summer.
After coming through youth ranks in his native Italy at Atalanta. Endur moved to Benfica as a 16-year-old in 2020.
He shone for Benfica’s B team and became the youngest player to play for them at 16 years and 269 days. Breaking the previous record held by Joao Felix, currently on loan at Chelsea.
Endur has also represented Italy at youth and under-20 level and made his first senior appearance for Benfica in March UFABET
According to The Sun, City are keen to land a senior star in midfield this summer. They set their eyes on the future. And I believe the 18-year-old star is part of that.
Endur has been compared to his childhood idol Paul Pogba. Although he has no intention of returning to Italy to play with the Frenchman at Juventus.
The report says Endur, who is 6ft 3in tall was watched by City scouts while playing for the club. And the Italian U-20 national team.
He is out of contract this summer. Therefore, the team that took him will only lose training compensation to Benfica and Atalanta only.
The midfielder has made 56 appearances for Benfica’s B team in Portugal’s second tier, contributing five goals and one assist.
